Iran launched a wave of missiles just hours after Israel said it was striking missile sites in central Iran. Israel says it hit Quds Force command centers.
In other developments, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the Israeli strikes have set Iran’s nuclear program back a “very, very long time.” He added that Israel is not attempting to topple the Iranian government, but he said he would not be surprised if that happened as a result of the strikes.
State TV says Iran will "attack infrastructure". The broadcaster adds that the military has ordered the evacuation of the headquarters of Israeli TV stations Channel 12 and Channel 14 in response to the attack on the state TV headquarters earlier.
The Israel-Iran conflict has escalated into its fourth day with mounting casualties, widening attacks, and no sign of diplomatic resolution.
Explosions were heard in the Iranian capital, Tehran, as Israel launched a preemptive strike. Israel is under a state of emergency, as Iran retaliated Friday night with missile attacks.
Israel's military says it struck a "communications centre of the Iranian regime", but Iran calls the attack a "war crime".
