Oracle released a security update this week that addresses 17 critical Java vulnerabilities affecting the Java Development Kit (JDK) and the Java Runtime Environment (JRE).

This latest version of Java, due to arrive as a production release on September 16, has 18 features. JDK 25 comes on the heels of JDK 24, a six-month-support release that arrived March 18.

If Java is not recognized as internal or external command, you need to make sure that the installation is not problematic and its path is recognized as system variables.

Java 23, now generally available, includes previews of module import declarations, stream gatherers, structured concurrency, scoped values, and a class-file API. And much more.
