Roblox is the most popular game in the world for children ages 5 through 12. As of August 2020, Robolox had over 164 million monthly active users.

The update follows Roblox’s announcement that age estimation for communication will roll out to all users by the end of 2025.

And, while most Roblox games are suitable for all ages, some have content that could be scary or otherwise inappropriate for young children.

Roblox told ABC News that Bennett’s experience isn’t common and the company has improved its moderation systems since 2020 and that the company takes steps to prioritize children’s safety.

US-founded Roblox, which allows users to create and play their own games, is popular with young children between the ages of nine and 12.

Incidents have even reached the Mid-South, with one ABC24 viewer emailing "Popular children's game Roblox allowing pornographic and inappropriate remarks without filtering in chat.
