Microsoft announced today that it's bringing back OneNote 2016, and adding new features, but it's also now confirmed that the desktop application will once again be installed by default.

OneNote's desktop apps have dozens of keyboard shortcuts. Use keyboard shortcuts for popular actions like creating a new page, applying a highlighter, text editing options, using tags, and more.

OneNote 2016 will magically sync it to the cloud along with the rest of your notebook contents. Best of all, the same trick also applies to Office documents and regular text files.
