With Chrome 87, Google has introduced a new UI for the PDF reader and here's how you can enable it if you don't have it already.

First spotted by @leopeva64 last month and now confirmed working by Android expert Mishaal Rahman for Android Authority, Google Chrome can already open PDFs inline using Android's built-in PDF reader.
