With Chrome 87, Google has introduced a new UI for the PDF reader and here's how you can enable it if you don't have it already.

The Chrome PDF reader now supports table of contents, page thumb previews, rotate and Fit-to-page controls.

But even after you've upgraded to Chrome 87, you may be surprised to find that nothing has changed for you. This is because Google has hidden the revamped PDF viewer behind an optional flag.

And, you can change your default PDF viewer for your browser by installing the Acrobat Reader browser extension. Install Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Head to the official Adobe website.

First spotted by @leopeva64 last month and now confirmed working by Android expert Mishaal Rahman for Android Authority, Google Chrome can already open PDFs inline using Android's built-in PDF reader.
