It's absolutely fair to compare Blanco Brown's The Git Up to Old Town Road by Lil Nas X, but one is clearly superior.

Blanco Brown's "The Git Up" is riding the "Old Town Road" wave to its own viral success, complete with an accompanying line dance.

“The Git Up” has been aided by a viral dance challenge on TikTok and YouTube, with Brown himself having posted a tutorial in May.

Blanco Brown is not an internet-savvy teenager, and he has not turned “The Git Up” into a cause. But he has won the acceptance of the country system, which isn’t easy to do.
