Arduino officially joined the LoRa Alliance™, the global association of over 450 companies backing the LoRaWAN™ standard for low-power, long-range, wide-area IoT networks.

The Arduino MKR series of boards - aimed at the IoT - has two new members, aimed at LoRa and GSM connectivity.

To support this platform, Arduino hardware already features on-board crypto-authentication chips and certified comms modules spanning Wi-Fi, BLE, LoRa, LTE Cat-M, and NB-IoT.
