Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham cut her teeth on the football gridiron before being a baskeball enforcer.

According to the WNBA rule book, a flagrant foul 2 warrants an automatic fine. Reports confirmed that Cunningham was, indeed, slapped with a fine for her actions in the game, although it was also revealed that she would not be facing a suspension.

She may not be an All-Star talent like Caitlin Clark, but Sophie Cunningham proved yesterday that she can be the enforcer that the Indiana Fever need on the court when opposing teams get too chippy. Cunningham joined the Fever several months ago as part of a four-team trade in the WNBA offseason.
