Explosions killed 11 people and wounded 65 at a rally held by M23 rebels in the eastern Congo city of Bukavu on Thursday, the leader of the rebel alliance said, blaming President Felix Tshisekedi for the violence.

After an explosion went off in the midst of an M23 rally in the DRC, dozens have been wounded and eleven killed according to rebel leaders. The incident unfolded in eastern Congo’s city of Bukavu.

Dozens of people were reportedly injured after two explosions hit a meeting of M23 rebel group leaders and residents in eastern Congo.

The two explosions in Bukavu, eastern Congo, occurred just after a meeting held by the Alliance Flueve Congo, a rebel group that includes M23 fighters. At least 11 people were killed and 65 were injured.
