It's going to be a very busy spring, summer, and fall for Lionel Messi and Inter Miami, who are led by Javier Mascherano in their defense of the Supporters' Shield and quest for a first MLS Cup.

Lionel Messi opened the scoring with a masterful strike in the 19th minute, and Inter Miami beat Sporting Kansas City 3-1 on Tuesday night in the second leg of the CONCACAF Champions Cup’s first round.

In stoppage time of the first half, Inter Miami were able to score a goal in some ways against the run of play with Jordi Alba playing the ball across the face of the goal and Tadeo Allende was there to finish the chance. Miami has been ultra efficient turning two shots into two goals.
