Indonesia, Apple reach agreement to lift iPhone ban Apple Inc. has reached an agreement with Indonesia to invest in the country, clearing the way for iPhone 16 sales to resume in Southeast Asia’s largest market.

Indonesia in October prohibited the marketing and sale of the iPhone 16 model over Apple's failure to meet local investment regulations requiring that 40 percent of phones be made from local parts as the country seeks to boost investments from giant tech companies.

Indonesia has struck a deal with Apple for the tech giant to invest in the country, local media reported a minister as saying Feb 26, in a move that could end a ban on iPhone 16 sales in South-East Asia's biggest economy.
