Duke Energy Florida has restored power for more than 99% of customers impacted by Hurricane Milton, meeting or exceeding estimated times of restoration for all counties, including those in Central Florida.

That includes more than 1 million Duke Energy customers across the state who lost power. As of Thursday, over 99% of those who lost power had since gotten it back. The company said it met or exceeded restoration estimates for customers in all its service areas, including the hardest-hit counties in Central Florida.

Duke Energy expects to take at least four more days to restore electricity to many of its customers in Florida after Hurricane Milton caused power outages across the state, the U.S. utility firm said on Friday.

Although Central Florida is out of the path of Hurricane Milton, thousands are still feeling the effects the historical storm left behind, including rolling power outages.

Duke Energy warned that there will likely be over 1 million outages in Florida after Hurricane Milton makes landfall late Wednesday.

The company reports the total number of storm-related outages has decreased from over 1 million to 105,000 as of 9 a.m. Monday.

In total, storm-related power outages across the company's service territory have decreased from over 1 million to approximately 30,000.

Duke Energy ( NYSE: DUK) said Monday it has restored power to more than 95% of its customers in central Florida following Hurricane Milton, meeting and in many cases exceeding the company's estimated restoration time.
