The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner confirmed the dismembered remains found in the car were those of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, who vanished from Lake Elsinore in April 2024, when she was 13.

The circumstances of how she died and ended up in the front trunk are unclear, investigators told ABC News.
