Audi has launched the sixth-generation A6 as a wagon for Europe, but the dapper design is expected to migrate to a sedan in the near future.

Audi has not disclosed plans for the U.S. market yet, but a late 2025 launch as a 2026 model year vehicle seems likely. As with the outgoing generation, American buyers may see the Avant body style limited to the rugged A6 Allroad and high-performance RS 6 variants. Meanwhile, European deliveries are scheduled to begin in late May.

Inside, the A6 takes the same approach as the newly launched A5 executive car, with up to three screens taking up almost the full width of the interior. These include an 11.9in digital driver’s display, a 14.5in infotainment touchscreen and an optional 10.9in screen for the front passenger to use.

Audi's mid-sized wagon is longer and more aerodynamic than ever. Audi has revealed the next-generation A6, first in Avant station wagon form. A change in naming convention means it will use the same nomenclature as the electric A6 E-Tron.

Audi presents the next edition of the A6 with a combustion engine. There is no sign of a radical departure in the design.
